Ryan Hogan
Media Director
Remember that big, mean bully who used to threaten to beat you up if you didn’t give him your lunch money when you were a kid?
Well here he is … all grown up.
Ryan is our media director and as such he spends his time roughing up media reps at local and national publications, TV and radio stations, to get the best deals for our clients. And, boy, does he do a good job — we figure Ryan ends up negotiating three times worth of media time/space for every dollar that our client spends. No wonder as a child he drove around with the nicest Big Wheel in the neighborhood while the other kids went hungry.
Having to wheel and deal all day long keeps Ryan on the telephone a lot. Almost every other incoming call is someone asking to speak with Ryan. You’d think he’d just broken up with J-Lo or something the way he’s hounded every day. We considered getting him his own direct line, but the phone number he wanted was already taken. We’d hate to be the poor sucker who already has 1-800-MEDIA-GOD. If it’s you, we’re just warning you — you’d best watch your back.
A graduate of Marywood University in Scranton, Ryan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Ryan also completed an American Advertising Association-recognized Media Buying Academy program focusing on media evaluation, planning, buying and post analyzing. He handled the media buying at a few other agencies before Jangle where he handles media budgets from $5,000 to $1.5 million.
When Ryan’s not at work, you’ll most likely see him on the softball field or planning to get on a softball field somewhere. From April to October, every moment of Ryan’s life outside of work is consumed by softball — from night games under the lights, to weekend tournaments, state championships and fall league. Ryan’s wife Deb and his son Noah are obviously a couple of saints.
