James is the newest addition to the Jangle team.
He’s also the youngest.
Which means he has none of the worry lines that the rest of us have gotten
from working in the advertising industry — or grey hairs for that matter.
(At least none that we can tell — James decided to shave his head the
second week he was here … a move that shocked and outraged the follicly
challenged males of Jangle.)
Seeing as he’s young, James is the most in tune with today’s fashion
trends and is probably the best dresser among the bunch of us. Everyday he
arrives at work looking like he’s the model from a Gap or Abercrombie & Fitch
photo shoot. With the shaved head, hip glasses and nice threads, James certainly
looks the part of a talented designer. But it doesn’t stop there. James
has got the talent, too. He’s an accomplished illustrator who — combining
his uniquely dry sense of humor and drawing skills — has won several
awards for humorous illustrations/cartoons, as well as a graphic designer with
a strong visual eye. James honed his skills at Furman University in Greenville,
S.C., and The Disney Institute’s Animation Program where he was thrilled
to learned stop-motion and cel animation from Disney pros, but was extremely
disappointed when they wouldn’t let him walk around the park in the Goofy
character costume.
After the sun goes down, the computer mouse and pencil in James’ hands
are tossed aside and replaced with a pair of mighty drumsticks. Mr. Feenstra
sits behind the drum kit for an alternative rock band, scarily named Dead Boys
Float. We tend to think they don’t play Abba covers.
